Marc Takes a Leap of Faith
In the words of the wise friend of mine; “Marc, I see you created, from nothing, the possibility to jump from a PERFECTLY normal aircraft!”
How true! But how can we ever learn to fly unless we let go of what we think is impossible? I’m not saying everyone should jump from a plane (but I will be a stand that everyone should!), but when you are willing to let go of what you “can’t do”, the world becomes the playground of all that you “get to do”. Live everyday like it is your birthday, because each moment we are born into the world anew!

News from Genevieve
Hey lovelies!
I just wanted to take this moment to thank you all for your unconditional support in the last few years. It hasn’t been easy but I survived & succeeded!
As most of you know, I embarked on a new chapter in my career & started a year-long internship at L’Oreal in Lancome. It was one of the most challenging & gratifying jobs I’ve ever had, not to mention, my longest corporate job! I combined my love of makeup & business and learned more about myself in the process. As a natural-born entrepreneur, it was not an easy transition!!
After a year of blood, sweat and tears (lol), I was offered a permanent position at L’oreal Paris Cosmetics as a Marketing Coordinator! Looking back, it wasn’t easy transitioning from a bad economy and building a business from nothing, but it all played a role in where I am today. Many times I was advised to “get any full-time job to pay bills,” but my purpose was greater than that. I did not want to live two lives from 9-5 then 5-9. With determination, focus, and a clear goal, everyone can make money pursuing what they love, so long as you’re willing to work hard for it! It all depends how bad you want it.
With that, I’m celebrating this chapter in my life with a HAPPY HOUR (and a vacation too)! This is my opportunity to enjoy much-needed catch up time with those I’ve neglected for months because of my internship!
xoxo

On the Way to the New Year – A Humorous Reflection of Kevin’s Self
Part 1
Before fate put me on the cherry-blossumed path to the love of my life, who happens to be the founder of this treasure trove of a blog, I had thought everything was…just perfect: my job was rewarding; I was dating like a rockstar and hitting the gym like an olympian; I was still bronzed up from Puerto Rico and totally making cool friends left and right. Looking back, from inside out, what else could be better? Well, as it turned out, EVERYTHING.
My existing universe first shifted last year, right around New Years. The tremors came in the form of one gorgeous Taiwanese girl all dressed up in red. So there one night at a rooftop lounge and rocking my two-piece slimfit suit, I meet that red Angel dripping in hot sauce and nitroglycerine. I found her elegantly crosslegged on a couch that I wanted to be, her hair shimmered in my supersensitive lasik eyes under the cocktail lights. Engaging her to say hello, her sparkle and energy immediately jumped out at me like a wildcat. She was either on some sort of prescription drugs or, maybe…just maybe, really really happy. Oh yes, she was going to be mine that night. I see it in the city night stars.
Then…after 10mins of my best mack talk, she promptly rejects me to find something more interesting than what was in front of her…which was me. UN-HEARD-OF. A quick decisive recovery needed to be executed, pronto! So I kept my cool by sliding up to the bar with a cutie. Time loses meaning until there she is again, lady in red. And coming towards me, and clearly NOT look for me. Instead, she was more focused on finding a good spot to snap some photo with her doppelganger, also in a red dress. You would think this is an explosive recipe for a Kardshian catfight but oddly enough they seemed quite happy together.
Seizing the opportunity, I doublesomersaulted to my right and asked her if she would like a much better photo than what could be afforded by her paltry iPhone 4s camera. Never in my life have I been so thankful that I gave up the blackberry for a smartphone with a highres camera. After the Impromptu photoshoot, and as an envoy of public service, it was only right that I get her number. How else can a Samaritan like me properly relay those photos to her? I must have not looked like my usual pervert at the moment because I did get her number and I did call…eventually. It was probably the best phone call I ever made considering I was never in jail. And then it gets really interesting…
Part 2…coming soon.
Debbie: Going on a Date.. With Myself!
I miss going on a date with myself, so I decided to go for it today. Among other things, it really helped me reconnect to the fact that I am the only one that can make me happy. Happiness is a choice, and to depend on someone else, or some circumstance, for it, is not my thing. What also makes me happy is spontaneity – the excitement of not knowing how the day will unfold, and being open to possibilities. And so it started…after work, I walked around the neighborhood, from the World Financial Center down Greenwich until I wandered into Soho. Holy Smokes – most of the trail was all unfamiliar terrain – novelties! It’s like you are in another city, in another country… as if you were on vacation! I loved every second of exploring it. I deliberately took different, unknown routes to get myself lost on purpose. Thank gosh for GPS, when the time comes to find my way back! There is no more need to depend on a guy to be your GPS. Anyway, I ended up finding the perfect spot for dinner due to it’s name: Principessa! Italian for “Princess.” So enticing!
I guess I was attracting positive energy with my smile, because the waitress, Anna, immediately brought me over a glass of Prosecco on the house. I finished it in 5 minutes, lol.
I ordered some yummy food, and then decided to go with the elixir that never fails to make me feel good – the one and only Bellini!
Although the date was intended to be spent by myself, I found myself calling friends and having deep conversations. I am reminded of the fact that fulfilling friendships are a big part of a fulfilling life.
On my subway ride back, I ran into a cute baby Pomeranian!
At home, I spoke to my mom on the phone, which was good.
Then, I spoke to my boyfriend. In those moments, I am reminded of how lucky I am to have someone like him. I can be happy with who I am, and not need anyone, or anything. However, he makes me even happier! ❤

Charles’s Life – Winning the Lotto!
I just won the lotto. Really. At least 10 million. It feels so amazing to have this much money in my bank account. I am a philanthropist and donate to causes that I care about. I go on vacation with my family and friends and the girl of my dreams. I am starting a new family with her and we are both crazy in love with each other.
Debbie’s Happy Moments
My boyfriend Kevin and I ended up wandering around his backyard. It was… a field of dreams! We had fun enjoying the moment and taking cute pictures….and living the happy life! Thank you, Kevin, for spending those moments with me. ❤
Happiness! Chris’s New Dog
We took the pooch plunge over the weekend… His name is Guga. A 7-month old labradoodle – Labrador retriever/poodle mix. Sweetest little guy you’ll ever meet.
Jonathan’s Vision of a Fine Saturday Morning!
Many Saturdays start off in this fashion with me waking up in a spacious large sun-drenched bedroom in my large apartment on the Upper West Side in Manhattan. As I rub my eyes I feel some movement from my dog who has been silently resting next to me. As we both start to rise
from the bed I look out from my wall sized window and see that it is a beautiful warm day overlooking central park. My dog gets excited because he can sense that he is going to get a refreshing jog in the park. As we make our way into the kitchen, I feel a sense of vitality as a gentle breeze blows in from an open sliding door to my balcony on the far side of my apartment. In the kitchen I pour myself a refreshing glass of ice tea that was brewed the the day before.
Before my run, I take fifteen minutes to mediate on the gratitude I have for the life I am able to experience, the appreciation I have for all the people in my life and a wish for all people to experience the deep joy I am feeling. After I meditate I take some time to stretch and proceed out for a invigorating jog with my dog. During our run we see many other people also enjoying this gorgeous day to the fullest.
On returning to the apartment I run into my wife as she is returning from the yoga class she teaches on Saturday mornings. She is a vision of beauty with her long straight black hair, radiant skin, intoxicating eyes and striking but unassuming allure. She has a figure that is somewhere between athletic and curvy and it is obvious that she not only takes care of her outside appearance but also what she consumes. All of her physical beauty takes a back seat to her warm, caring, personable, witty, clever, intelligent personality. A conversation with her is always guaranteed to produce a laugh because her sense of humor weaves through her words like a snake slithers through the grass. To the world she presents an aura of class without a hint of arrogance.
As our lips meet on our greeting, she asks if I would like to grab brunch soon at one of our favorite local cafes that makes delicious healthy food from only fresh ingredients. I agree and suggest that we should invite my brother and some friends to join us. She thinks this is a great idea and we head back into the apartment. We have about an one and half hours before lunch, after we both get washed up she makes some calls to invite people to join us for lunch.
As she is doing this I review the set that I am DJing later tonight for a couple hundred people at a club where I am featured. I am excited because not only do I love the opportunity to create a positive, energetic atmosphere for people several times a month DJing but, I will be premiering a couple remixes I have been hired to do for some current top 10 artists on the billboard charts. I feel great about the gig tonight because it is local in NYC instead of some of the other international cities that I sometimes play.
This works out good because I spent a majority of the week working with a fortune 100 client in California that hired my consulting company to lead them in an organizational transformation. They want to be an organization that operates within the context of sustainability, knowing this will be the direction not only for their long term growth but for their organizational happiness. This is a four and half month project worth upwards of 10 million and I like to be there to kick off projects of this magnitude to reinforce the importance of the work we do with my trusted employees.
We start to head out to the cafe and as we sit down my brother meets us with his girlfriend and several other of our friends. We all enjoy a pleasant brunch with lots of laughs and a couple drinks. During brunch my Mom calls to confirm our dinner meeting with my parents Sunday evening.
After brunch some of our friends leave to take care of some errands but, the rest of us decide to head down to SOHO to check out one of our close friends new art exhibit. As we enter we see that the exhibit is a huge success and I see a painting that moves me in such a deep emotional way that I purchase it for my apartment. We return to the apartment and decide that we will put together some of the additional plans for our trip to Argentina that is coming up. After finishing the plans for our trip and relaxing a bit my my wife heads out to join her friends for the evening and mentions that she will see me later that night where I am DJing. Feeling extremely confident about what i’m going to spin tonight, I take the dog out again for a nice walk. During my walk my friend who is spinning with me, calls me to ask if I want to meet for dinner at one of my favorite sushi restaurants near where we are DJing tonight.
I agree that this sounds like a great idea, and meet him there soon. Dinner is delicious and we discuss some sounds and ideas that we have been working during our DJ sets. We get to the club and the night proceeds with a fantastic energy and excitement. We are both validated in putting on a fantastic performance due to the amazing energy of the people dancing and the complements we are getting from everyone. Towards the end of the night my wife shows up with her friends and
some friends of mine that came in from out of town to surprise me. I am surprised and filled with happiness to see them. As we are all leaving the club after i’m done spinning we go to a trendy cafe to chat for a little before heading home to go to bed. My we have a fantastic time catching up with our friends and it is at this point towards the end of the night that my wife surprises me and everyone else with the good news that she is pregnant, and we are all so happy our friends are here to share this exciting news with us. We all head back to the apartment exhausted from a fantastic and fulfilling day, our friends stay with us in the guest bedroom and we all fall asleep grateful for the life we have, and excited about tomorrow which we are spending helping out a charity.
