Catching up on Megan’s Life!
I just got married not too long ago and just found out that we are expecting twins! We are SO excited! Our relationship is built on a solid friendship, teamwork and trust. We both believe that love is a choice, and we choose to love each other everyday—we do the work and put forth the effort, creativity, and spontaneity that it takes. We workout together on a regular basis, eat organically, and support each other with our visions! We are extremely driven, resourceful and connected, and work passionately towards making a difference in the world together! We are also both dedicated to transformational work within others and ourselves! We live the work and are master enrollers!! But since we don’t have all the answers, we also both get couples life coaching on a regular basis to support whatever we are up to. We are spontaneous and adventurous! We ride motorcycles for fun and take road trips! We go on a cruise once a year and friends and family usually come along. We love to cook together and once a week we host themed get-togethers at our place (wherever we are that week lol) with friends and family! We also turn off our cell phones for the entire day, every Sunday—allowing us to be ‘more’ present with each other. We spend regular quality time with both our families and we all get along exceptionally well. We treat each other with the utmost respect and keep open lines of communication. We both celebrate breakdowns, since that is where we have the possibility to grow and create breakthroughs together! We do yoga together and go dancing often. We love to laugh! We travel a lot and have a home in NY and one in WA State also. We go back and forth between NY and WA since I have schools opened in both states!
We actually just got back from India, where we funded and opened a nursery school for one of the impoverished villages. We left a beautiful legacy there and impacted the village in such a positive and inspiring way! The program I set up in the nursery school was of my design! It encompasses my philosophies and my personal vision for children, and is set in the consciousness-based curriculum that I developed! I already have three books published on it! As well as more than twenty children’s titles and two children’s albums!! The program in India mirrors the pilot program that I set in place in both of my private nursery schools in NY as well as my school in Spokane, WA! Next, we intend to open a school somewhere in Africa and continue our legacy in different impoverished communities throughout the world.
I also have a special project that I took on a couple years ago which has been a HUGE success!! EJ Roberts Mansion is a special place to me. I used to work there as a private maid in the mansion (dressed to the era lol), supporting with the day to day of the high class Victorian mansion’s B&B. But since I was the only person connected to the mansion passionate enough to keep its legacy alive, the owner passed it on to me!! The B&B is booked every night and we also host four weddings a year! I do dinner theatre programs, children’s tea parties, brunches, and special events as well!! The restaurant and bar next door to the mansion has also been a huge success! We just recently were featured in two different magazines, which gave raving reviews of the mansion and the restaurant!!
Some of my favorite hobbies include: photography, scrapbooking, cooking, baking, singing karaoke, horseback riding, and anything that involves the outdoors! I also love hosting workshops for parents on various topics to inspire and empower them to be their child’s first teacher and create a life of possibilities for their child/children! I host workshops weekly in WA and NY!
Well, I hope that catches you up a bit?! Clearly we are staying busy—as we like it, and are living each day to the fullest, as if it were our last! We are committed to living a life of no regrets! Hooray! J Hope you are too?! Be well and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
Love and Light, Megan
James Chueh Talks About Who Inspires Him
In 2007, I was inspired by a book “History of 54th Army” which was written by many people.
My grandfather was the command-in-chief of 54th Army between 1933 and 1950. I got the book at 1985 and just read it briefly.
To help my cousin to write a book about my grandfather, in 2007 I started reading it carefully and also searched the internet to get more information.
Suddenly all the stories became real scenes in my mind. I had never been so emotional in my life. I was in tears in the office when I thought of those soldiers who were killed or wounded in the battlefield. Many of them were left in mainland China (there were not enough ships to go to Taiwan) in 1949 and suffered even more after war.
They were my grandfather’s soldiers. I felt that I had responsibility to do something for them. For the people killed, I started collecting their names and asked the government to put them in the National Memorial Hall. I have found more than 3000 names, For the people alive, I raised fund from relatives and sent money to them. I have sent money to about 60 people.
From the book, I also found that Uncle Lee, an old, short, quiet, humble weak man who I lived with for 10 years, was a general that had many contributions to the country during the war, and yet, he was not famous at all. I also applied
to put his name in the National Memorial Hall.
I was inspired by a book printed 20 years ago. That just goes to show that the impact and influence of a touching experience can last forever. And so, I also write to inspire others. I post my articles in the Chinese newspaper.
Recently, my 6 months old article was quoted in a magazine recently.
I am currently in the process of applying for the 3000 soldiers, and my grandfather, to set up a memorial tablet.
Brian – Large Scale Philanthropy
When I grow older I want to be a philanthropist. Im not talking small scale, Im talking an organization that has the power and influence to make a difference. To accomplish this task will be a dream come true. If I could possibly accomplish this, I would help children in third world countries get off the streets and into schools. I would also help victims of natural disasters and bad conditions get off the streets so that they would not be victims to all forms of violence. One day I would also like to visit a less fortunate country and help out personally because doing something yourself takes much more motivation than does paying or funding someone else to do it. One person who inspired me is my friend’s father who went himself to New Orleans after the devastating hurricane Katrina and helped to rebuild houses. One day, I would hope to be like him and maybe bring with me more people. There are to many less fortunate people in the world for those of us who live comfortable lifestyles to find anything wrong with our lives. One day, I hope to alleviate the sufferings of humanity and allow more people to live a more easy life.
Liz’s Vision
I’ve noticed that sometimes I let my vision take a back seat to my day to day life. Gotta get the kids up for school, gotta get to work, ride the subway, make the dinner, do the homework, get the kids to bed before too late, still have time to spend with my husband. Do some laundry, make phone calls I may or may not want to make, keep in touch with my sisters and father and friends, catch up on work.
I barely have time for me, much less my dreams.
Yet I am driven, somehow, not to lose sight of them. I think of them late at night after I am up too late answering emails, or in the shower, or waiting on a subway platform. I picture myself doing certain things… leading abundance and prosperity workshops with hundreds of people in them, being at my country home for the summer, traveling with my family, singing on a stage with a guitar in my hands (yes, I sing, no, I don’t play the guitar.) They call me forward, make me understand I’m alive, and challenge me. I feel optimistic about them… I know they are possible, even though sometimes they feel so far away from me.
Some people say… having a clear vision comes first, then the strategy of how to accomplish that vision comes next. You can have a to-do list a mile long, but without a vision to give it structure and importance, at the end of the day you’ll just have a bunch of to-do’s done, and you won’t be any closer to what you want. Start with the “important, not urgent” items first. And you’ll decide which items are in that quadrant based on what your vision is.
For me, starting with the important, not urgent items can be a challenge. Life will pull me in many directions and distract me from that noble quest. But the vision is still there. The optimism remains. I make a conscious effort to stay on track with my important, but not urgent tasks. And slowly but surely the results show. My workshops are getting bigger and more numerous. My country house is there, awaiting me as summer approaches. I spend the afternoon with my children, laughing.
I pulled a card from my “Power Thought Cards” deck written by Louise Hay. It said: “My future is glorious. I now live in limitless love, light and joy. All is well in my world.” I was reminded – my vision, my future, is decided upon based on how I live NOW. As I choose to live in love, light, and joy NOW, all is well in my world.
Manny’s Life – Speaking into Existence
How would your life be like if it was a 10 out of 10? (Speaking into existence)
My life is a 10 out of 10 because I am able to travel the world. I travel a minimum of two times a month with my beautiful, loving wife. Her and I own a laundry mat and a limo company. We have condos in several parts of the world. What really makes us happy is not the materialistic things but being able to help others by giving back and mentoring others at our local church. We both came from nothing and know what its like to not have much of anything. The more we give the more we receive. Our blessings come from the lord and we give happily.
What are your passions?
I have a passion for sports and the outdoors, some things include rock climbing, scuba diving, running, and weight lifting. My biggest passions are spending quality time with others and giving back any way possible.
What excites you about your day?
What excites me about my day is being able to wake up in the morning and enjoy a cup of coffee with my wife while watching the sun rise. We tend to appreciate the smaller things in life. I get excited every day just knowing that her and I share the same passion for the lord and we get to work together not only as partners but also and my best friend. This woman understands and consoles me. She is heaven sent and has been a blessing in my life. I thank God every day for bringing her into my life.
What are your authentic goals, ones that make you, and no one else, happy?
- My authentic goals in life are taking care of my family, being able to travel freely, go to the Air Force Academy, continue to open up different businesses, giving back to the community, and starting a family of my own with the woman of my dreams.
What inspires you?
- I am inspired by God! Anything that is positive inspires me. I enjoy listening to and watching other people being happy and joyous.
What has you cry tears of joy?
- Being able to see others having fun, smiling, loving, caring, people appreciating life, and people caring for others.
What are you greatful for in your life?
- I am greatful for being able to live another day! Many people wish for the opportunity to live another day so wh not appreciate the days that God has blessed me with to live? I am greatful for my family because without them I would be lost. I am greatful for a man called Andrew Petrus… this man mentored me when I was a you pup, he showed me that there was more to life then what I could visibly see at the present time. This man took me in as if I were his child. He showed me how to be a good man and to stay away from all the knuckle heads. Without this man in my life I believe I would have been dead, in jail, or had five kids and living off of the government.
What would be the milestone in your life?
- Milestone in my life would be to support my entire family and be able to give back to everyone in as many ways as I can. Milestone to me does not necessarily mean money, instead it means life… living life and being happy doing it.
What hobbies would you continue enjoying? Start doing?
- I would take on different things. I would still continue to do all thing that I enjoy doing now. I stop saying NO as much and be more open to trying new things.
What are your guilty pleasures? Are they really guilty?
- One guilty pleasure that I have is having some alone time…. Just me and no one else. I enjoy doing some things by myself because I feel I appreciate small things more then as if I were doing something with someone who perhaps does not appreciate smaller things as I do. I do not consider this really guilty but it makes me feel bad when I tell others I don’t want to spend time with them. I am a sucker for sweets such as cake and chocolate. This one is guilty because it makes me run more on the tread mill
Describe the relationship of your dreams. How would it feel like?
- This relationship would be open, honest, loving, caring, gentle, passionate, attractive, physically fit, strong woman who supports me, not too much complaining and more understanding.
Where would you travel? What would you do?
- I will travel all over the world, not limiting myself to certain locations. I would do everything I am doing now and also try new things. I will compromise and do what my wife likes to do too.
What do you do that has you feeling fulfilled? Joyful?
- Spending quality time with my family, sports, traveling, learning new things.
How would your relationship with your significant other be like?
- It would be like walking on clouds! Spontaneous, loving, caring, joyous, passionate, gentle. A relationship where she can be my best friend… I would be able to tell her everything and anything without her judging or getting upset.
What would it take to touch your heart?
- Honesty, lovingness, caring, openness, affection, and most of all a woman who seeks God as I do.
What foods do you savor?
- I savor anything that is not healthy for you! Cake, chocolate, pies, Chinese food, pizza, Spanish food, Italian, Indian….. I don’t discriminate I love all types of food as long as its tasty.
What are your happiest childhood memories?
- My father and I were walking home and he asked me if I was hungry, I said yes and he took me to eat at Popeye’s. I placed my order but he decided not to order anything and said he was not hungry. As we sat there I noticed him looking at the food but did not dare to take some. I offered him some of my food and only then did he take some French fries stating he was not very hungry. At the time I did not know why but now that I am older I understand why he didn’t eat. He didn’t have enough money to feed both of us so he decided to feed me. Just thinking about this moment makes my eyes water up. For many years I thought he didn’t love but instead I learned that he does love me and everyone demonstrates their love in different ways.
What/who makes you smile/laugh like never before?
- My uncle Fernando always makes me laugh and smile. He is always in good spirits and in a good mood. He is funny as all heck and know how to break the tension in any room.
What pets would you own?
- I would own a dog and maybe a gold fish.
What would your relationship be like with nature?
- I would travel more and definitely spend more time outdoor. I admire earth and how it works. I will admire the small things in nature as well as the big things.
Salina’s Vision
I take a deep breath as the muscles in my body relaxes. It’s over. The
heavy gasps, the clenching of my fists, and the squinting of my face
comes to an end. As I take another deep breath, I open my eyes to a
brightly lit room. My eyes can barely make sense of the visuals around
me from my sweat and tears. Tony gently wipes my face with the rough
tissues only hospitals can provide. The ceiling is gridded with
cellophane tiles and florescent lights. There’s a large curtain drawn
around us.
Suddenly I hear a faint sound. A blurry blue image moves it’s way
across the room towards me. It’s the nurse calling for my attention.
And in the background, the sound of a baby crying. The nurse reaches
over and places the warm swaddled body in my arms. As the baby’s cry
fades, I reached my fingers around the edges to bare sight.
I can see her rosy pink complexion. Her swollen eyes barely open to
give sight to me. She takes a deep breath as she nestles in my arms.
My nose tingles and there was no holding back. Tears start to roll
down my glimmering cheeks. I gasp and reach for Tony’s hand. I looked
up at his smile and said “she’s beautiful.” He leans down and sets a
kiss on my forehead. He says, “I love you.” My eyes tear with the
warmth in my heart. I am joyous and abundant with my response, “I love
you, too.”
Dori’s vision – Zenergy
My vision for my world is global sustainability and renewable energy. I live this vision every moment.
What this looks like in my relationship with myself is motivation, authenticity & ownership of my sacred feminine zenergy. I explore and expand my highest self, while inviting everyone in my life to be their highest being in any given moment.
What this looks like with my friends & family is sharing health, love, support, fun, joy & pizza. It looks like listening, empathy, compassion & belly laughs.
What this looks like with my communities is sharing responsibility, service, giving, receiving & support. It looks like caring, playfulness and love.
What this looks like on my earth is innovation, renewable clean energy, peace, abundance, Go-Giving and paying it forward.
Energy is neither created nor destroyed it simply changes form. In my vision. energy is transformed, purified and magnified with each & every transfer, creating empowered and empowering sustainable relationships everywhere.
Kit’s Dreams
Although I do satisfy of who I am and what I am doing right now, There still 2 point away from the life that I dreamed of. If I have exceed amount of wealth that can give better live to my family, or if I have more time to stay with my family, Money and time is never been sufficient to me. As we know time is always decrease and never get increased no matter what, so finding something/someone meaning so much to you is important.
I rarely play sport, haven’t gone to trip for years, not a fan of any club, movie, music, reading are just a daily routine, however, I luckily have two daughter and I spend most of my time at home with them. Yes my hobby is that playing with daughters! I even found myself humming nursery rhythm at working and on the street. I believe that babies are priceless gifts from the heaven and from the day of my first child born, I am a life-time “father”. They make me happy, they make me tired, they make me cry, they make me busy and they also make me understand my responsibility and privilege of being a father.
I think I am gonna even lower my satisfaction of current life to 7 out of 10 because other than money and time, I really think, If there any chance, I can have one more kid in my family. And I know I will enjoy all times that spending with my kids. If my dream becomes true, time will be very insufficient.
Jack’s Life
i love playing basketball, is a very teamwork sport and a very good exercise. before basketball, i was very shy and no confidence boy. as i started playing and watching basketball, i start being involve more. As i just started playing, i think i was good at it, i shot well and score a lot, and of course, i being selfish a lot just holding a ball way too much. as like that, i lost a lot of games, and then i showed alot of my temper infront of my teammates. and i realized i has to changed my way to play basketball, first, i would have to get myself better, so my skill would be more useful on the game, secondly, i have to get my teammates more involves, and that mean passing more . and third. try to communicate my teammates and talking stragies with them. so the game get easier to play. the game get more fun and most importantly i got people respect me. because they know no matter win or lose, they know i gave out my best to them for the win . and that is the format on life too. even though life might not be a game. but you definetly have to play well with it in order to enjoy and fully into it. and because of basketball, i gain more confidence, more outgoing and become a better person as i am.
sometime i have crazy thinking of things, i would want to do everything each time i realize. such as, those singers on the subway train, i would love to just perform one song infront of the people. i will. i want to learn to play piano and write my own song. i want to be an actor at least one. there are so much thing i want to try before my life end.
for love, i am foolish or too much dreaming about it. but reality is reality, people are getting more and thinking more from it. is like you have to earn something to deserve it. i don’t agree that statment thou, but somehow i found that is sadly true.
Rosa’s Vision
My vision is to create a safe haven place for youth so that they can dream, envision their future. A place where they can create art and through that art express themselves and show the world how unique they are. I want to create a place where everyone is accepted regardless of their age, sex, religion or culture. A place where we can learn from each other by discovering our common goals and use our differences to unite not divide. I want to create a place where we can leave a legacy behind for future generations. A place where imagination, creativity, passion and the extraordinary thrives. I want to create an interactive, experiental theatre/art gallery program where I can open the doors of opportunity to youth for employment, whether that is part time, student stipends, get paid for an internship or community service hours. Where we can create shows and where their artistic expression has a voice.
